Catalonia has reached their sixth Blanes Golden Cup after beating the World Stars in the penalties, as the match ended 2-2. The catalans scored the first goal of the match (Roger Rocasalbas) but the World Stars scored 2 goals by Toni Pérez minutes later, until Raül Marín tied the match two minutes left. Marc Gual scored the decisive penalty to give Catalonia the title.

Ramon Basiana, president of the Federació Catalana de Patinatge, has praised the players and coaches because the title won despite the physical ehaustion suffered at the end of season: "it's a great achievement to reach first position in six of the eight disputed Blanes Golden Cup. This year, it has become clear that playing for Catalonia is an extra of motivation added to the catalan players. Neither the World Stars could beat the talent and courage of our national team."

Catalonia has beaten Angola and will play the final with the World Stars. Raül Marín has scored the 0-1 10 minutes after the beginning, but Angola has overturn the match with the goals by "Johe" Viera and Umberto Mendes some minutes after. Jordi Ferrer has tied the match for the final 2-2. Catalan players has scored 3 penalties at the end of the match and Catalonia will face the World Stars on sunday.
